Somatics are emotions living in the tissues of the body, and the main form of communication between the body and the mind.
Learning to identify, sit with, process, and integrate emotions gives you resources to move in your communities with more ease and intention when confronted with intensity out in the world.
Emotional regulation is not about repressing emotion, instead it is the practice of finding ways to identify, and safely experience and express the emotions in ways that help support your wellbeing and that of the community around you

While trauma may surface during our work together, the goal isn’t to fix or analyze your past. Instead, I help you build your capacity to stay present in your body, develop grounded routines, and process the emotions most of our society was taught to repress.
Sessions may include guided practices, movement, and tools to support nervous system regulation.
I approach somatic coaching through a liberatory, anti-oppression lens, centering folks most impacted by chronic illness, medical trauma, systemic violence, and marginalization.
Everyone has unique needs, and many people find the concept of somatics to be totally unfamiliar. This will an opportunity to see how your nervous system might be supported with this work.

While all Somatic Coaching always acknowledges and eventually touches more deeply on the systems that fuel most personal imbalances, this offering is the mental practice of unlearning harmful beliefs, and learning how to think and move in the world with a new perspective.
This work is about more than nervous system regulation. It’s about unlearning internalized oppression and unconscious bias, reclaiming your body’s wisdom, ultimately supporting and rebuilding connection in a world that often demands disconnection.
As we work together, we will explore how systems like capitalism, ableism, transphobia, and white supremacy live within you personally as well as the systems around you. Through a trauma-informed lense and care centered inquiry, we will dive into simple methods of learning that work for you, personally.
While this work is challenging for everyone who takes it on, this effort of love will help you move toward deeper presence, resilience, and clarity–not just for interpersonal healing, but for collective liberation.
